We are currently seeking an experienced Service HVAC Controls Technician to join our team!

Position Description:

As a Service Controls Technician you will be our point of contact to clients serving their HVAC controls needs through programming and check out of HVAC equipment, field calibrations, adjustments and HVAC system troubleshooting.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Represents the company by serving as the direct customer contact, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, analyzing, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer's location.
  • Communicates with customers and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff.
  • Ensures compliance with internal contracting processes.
  • Coordinates with account managers, the service department and customers to precisely understand requirements for all on-site programming, installation and repairs by extensively examining building layouts, forecasting issues, gathering materials and synchronizing on-site work.
  • Communicates effectively in visual, oral and written form.
  • Demonstrates ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers.
  • Is Responsible for creating & downloading programming, start up, functional testing, and troubleshooting on assigned projects.
  • Uses cutting edge software and technology along with a variety of other tools, to troubleshoot local controllers, communication wiring, programs, and schedules to identify concerns and determine corrective action. 
  • Continually enforces safety to the highest standards.
  • Provides technical guidance to diagnose control system concerns and ensure occupancy comfort.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have at least 2 years technical and/or field related experience
  • Niagara AX building automation systems experience a huge plus
  • LON and BACNet communication experience a huge plus
  • Computer knowledge
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • Understanding of HVAC and IT systems
