We are currently seeking a Project Engineer – Conversion Specialist to join our team!

 

Position Description:

As a Project Engineer - Conversion Specialist you will be converting legacy systems to the current, more robust and user friendly technology using our tools and methodologies.  In addition you will:

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Direct the project preplanning process, accurately scope out length and difficulty of tasks and projects, develop schedules, anticipate and adjust for problems and roadblocks. And collaborate with project team to proactively resolve problems; sets objectives and goals with specific measures
  • Communicate effectively in visual, oral and written form.
  • Demonstrate ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers.
  • Represents the company by serving as the direct customer contact, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, analyzing, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer's location.
  • Coordinates with project team, and customer to precisely understand requirements for all on-site programming, installation, and function by extensively examining building layouts, forecasting issues, gathering materials and synchronizing on-site work.
  • Independently manages daily business needs by identifying labor and equipment needs for project completion and determines the urgency of the requirement.
  • Provide technical guidance to diagnose control system concerns and ensure client satisfaction
  • Troubleshoot networks, controllers, communication wiring, programs, graphics, and schedules to identify concerns and determine corrective action
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have at least a 2 year technical degree and/or field related experience
  • Interest in Building Automation
  • LON and BACNet communication experience a huge plus
  • Computer knowledge
  • Strong Programming Skills
  • Great communication skills
