Uhl Company is looking for a Control Technician to join our Bismarck ND team.

This individual will be responsible for coordinating, managing, implementing, and performing installation of building automation equipment in commercial settings.

Job duties include, but not limited to:

  • System layout and installation prep
  • Program, install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low voltage building automation components
  • Installation of required cabling, controllers, and devices
  • Ability to read blueprints, layout systems, and mount system panels and devices
  • Verifies building automation system and equipment functionality by testing equipment, connections, and control signals; identifying and correcting problems
  • Maintains records with accurate documentation (paperwork, timesheets, schedules, etc.)
  • Maintains safe and secure work environment by following safe practices
  • Works and interacts with current and prospective employees, current and prospective clients, sales representatives, vendors, guests, and visitors

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Promotes value of full service
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending industry trainings, seminars, webinars, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated!
  • Desired of 2 years of low voltage experience with a good knowledge of low voltage installation practices.
  • Valid driver license and ability to meet the company’s driving requirements
  • Proficiency with office computers and XP Office Suite, Excel, Project Management software
  • Expresses thoughts clearly and concisely (written and verbal)
  • Ability to use independent judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Strong customer service


Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent REQUIRED
  • Industry training and experience are a plus
  • 2 Year Technical Degree in Electronics Field or +2 Years related work experience preferred
